We treat:

  • Seasonal allergies (hay fever, pollen, mold)
  • Allergic reactions (hives, itching, swelling)
  • Asthma exacerbations and breathing difficulty
  • Sinus congestion, post-nasal drip, and sinus infections
  • Chronic cough related to allergies or asthma

Treatment options:

  • Prescription antihistamines and allergy medications
  • Nasal sprays (steroid and antihistamine)
  • Asthma inhalers and rescue medications
  • Steroid treatments for severe allergic reactions or asthma flares
  • Guidance on managing triggers and preventing future flare-ups

Severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) or life-threatening asthma attacks require emergency care. Call 911 or go to the ER immediately if you can’t breathe, have chest pain, or feel faint.

Most colds and flu are viral and don’t require antibiotics. We’ll only prescribe antibiotics if there’s clear evidence of a bacterial infection like strep throat or a sinus infection.

Colds, Flu & Upper Respiratory Infections

Sick with a sore throat, fever, or can’t-stop-coughing? We can assess your symptoms, rule out more serious infections like strep or COVID, and help you feel better faster.

Common respiratory illnesses we diagnose and treat:

  • Common cold and viral upper respiratory infections
  • Influenza (the flu)
  • COVID-19 assessment and treatment
  • Strep throat and bacterial pharyngitis (may need to go to urgent care for a swab and culture first)
  • Bronchitis and persistent cough
  • Sinus infections (sinusitis)
  • Eustachian tube dysfunction
  • Ear infections (otitis media)

How we help:

  • Virtual assessment to determine if your illness is viral or bacterial
  • Prescriptions for antibiotics (only when medically necessary)
  • Symptom relief medications (cough suppressants, decongestants, pain relievers)
  • COVID, flu, and strep testing coordination (we recommend keeping at home COVID, flu, and strep testing for sick season for treatment in the comfort of your own home. These tests can be purchased at most local pharmacies or online.)
  • Guidance on self-care, hydration, and when to seek further care

UTIs & Bladder Infections

Urinary tract infections are painful, urgent, and frustrating. The good news? They’re usually easy to diagnose and treat virtually — and we can get you relief fast.

Symptoms we treat:

  • Burning or pain during urination
  • Frequent or urgent need to urinate
  • Cloudy, bloody, or foul-smelling urine
  • Pelvic pain or lower back discomfort
  • Recurrent UTIs

How we help:

  • Virtual assessment based on symptoms
  • Urinalysis and urine culture coordination (at a local lab if needed)
  • Prescription antibiotics to clear the infection
  • Pain relief medications (phenazopyridine/AZO)
  • Prevention strategies for recurrent UTIs

If you have a fever, chills, severe back pain, or nausea/vomiting with a UTI, you may have a kidney infection and should seek urgent in-person care.

Migraines & Headaches

Migraines aren’t just bad headaches — they’re debilitating. Whether you have chronic migraines or are dealing with a sudden, severe headache, we can help you find relief.

We treat:

  • Migraine headaches (with or without aura)
  • Tension headaches and stress-related headaches
  • Cluster headaches
  • Sinus headaches

Treatment options:

  • Acute migraine medications (triptans, NSAIDs, anti-nausea meds)
  • Preventive medications for chronic migraines
  • Possible supplement recommendations
  • Lifestyle and trigger management guidance
  • Referrals to neurology for complex or refractory migraines

If you experience sudden, severe headache (worst of your life), headache with neurological symptoms (vision changes, weakness, slurred speech), or headache after a head injury, go to the ER immediately.

Skin Issues & Rashes

Skin problems are visual — which makes them surprisingly well-suited for telehealth. Show us what’s going on, and we’ll help you figure out what it is and how to treat it. It’s often best to take a picture of the rash and send it in through the patient portal.

Common skin conditions we diagnose and treat:

  • Eczema and atopic dermatitis
  • Psoriasis flare-ups
  • Acne (cystic, hormonal, and general breakouts)
  • Contact dermatitis and allergic rashes
  • Fungal infections (ringworm, athlete’s foot, jock itch)
  • Bacterial skin infections (impetigo, cellulitis)
  • Hives and itchy rashes
  • Poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac
  • Minor burns and sunburns
  • Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV, cold sores)
  • Shingles

If you have a rapidly spreading rash with fever, a rash that looks like bruising or doesn’t blanch when pressed, or any signs of a serious allergic reaction (difficulty breathing, swelling of face/throat), seek emergency care.

How we help:

  • Visual assessment via video or photo upload
  • Prescription topical medications (creams, ointments)
  • Oral medications (antibiotics, antifungals, antihistamines, steroids)
  • Guidance on skincare and preventing recurrence
  • Referrals to dermatology for complex or concerning skin issues

Pink Eye (Conjunctivitis)

Pink eye is uncomfortable, contagious, and often requires quick treatment to prevent spreading. We can diagnose and treat it virtually — so you don’t have to expose others (or yourself) in a waiting room. Be sure to take a picture of your eye before cleaning it so we know what it looks like before treatment (ie cleaning). You can send your photo in through the patient portal.

We treat:

  • Bacterial conjunctivitis (requires antibiotic drops)
  • Viral conjunctivitis (supportive care)
  • Allergic conjunctivitis
  • Can add styes/hordeolum

Treatment options:

  • Prescription antibiotic eye drops
  • Allergy eye drops and oral antihistamines
  • Symptom management and home care instructions
  • Guidance on preventing spread to others

If you have severe eye pain, vision changes, sensitivity to light, or eye injury, see an eye doctor or go to the ER.

Other Acute Concerns

Not sure if we can help? Here are some other common issues we treat:

  • Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea (gastroenteritis)
  • Minor cuts, scrapes, and wounds (assessment and wound care guidance)
  • Insect bites and stings
  • Yeast infections
  • Hemorrhoids
  • Back pain and muscle strains
  • Minor sprains and injuries

When to Go to the ER Instead

Telehealth is incredibly effective for most acute illnesses, but some situations require immediate in-person care. Go to the emergency room or call 911 if you experience:

  • Chest pain or pressure
  • Difficulty breathing or severe shortness of breath
  • Severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) with throat swelling or difficulty breathing
  • Sudden, severe headache (worst of your life)
  • Confusion, slurred speech, or stroke symptoms
  • Uncontrolled bleeding
  • Signs of sepsis (high fever, rapid heartbeat, extreme weakness, confusion)
  • Severe abdominal pain
  • Major trauma or injury
  • Suicide or homicidal ideation

When in doubt, err on the side of caution. If something feels seriously wrong, seek emergency care.

Why Choose Telehealth for Urgent Care?

Traditional urgent care centers often mean long waits, exposure to other sick people, and time away from home. Telehealth urgent care offers a better way:

  • Same-day appointments — Often available within hours
  • No waiting room — Skip the germs and the wait
  • Faster care — Join from home and get diagnosed quickly
  • Prescriptions sent directly to your pharmacy — Pick up meds on your way home (or have them delivered)
  • Lower cost — Often more affordable than in-person urgent care or ER visits
  • Accessible from anywhere in Colorado, Illinois, or Oregon

Who Is This For?

Acute care telehealth is ideal for anyone who:

  • Has a sudden illness or injury that can’t wait for a regular appointment
  • Wants to avoid the time, cost, and exposure of an urgent care visit
  • Needs fast symptom relief and a prescription
  • Prefers the convenience and comfort of virtual care
  • Doesn’t have a primary care doctor or can’t get in quickly

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you really diagnose me without seeing me in person?

For most acute conditions, yes. We can assess your symptoms, ask targeted questions, and visually examine things like rashes, red eyes, or throat inflammation via video. If we determine you need in-person care or imaging, we’ll let you know and provide referrals.

Many days, we have same-day availability — sometimes within a few hours. When you’re sick, we prioritize getting you in as quickly as possible.

Yes. If we diagnose a bacterial infection (like strep throat, UTI, or sinus infection), we can prescribe appropriate antibiotics and send the prescription directly to your pharmacy.

When in doubt, book an appointment. We can assess your symptoms and determine the appropriate level of care — whether that’s a prescription, self-care guidance, or a referral to urgent care or the ER.
